AtC: OverprotectiveThe familiar squeak of the hinge as you pushed open Rivaille's door made you smile as you entered, watching as your husband looked up from the window he was standing at. He glanced at you for a moment without greeting before turning back to whatever has captured his interest down in the courtyard below.AtC: Overprotective by ~Zephyros22
A playful smile danced on your lips as you strode over to where your husband stood, hands folded behind his back.
"I brought you lunch." You declared, setting a small basket of groceries down on the surface of his desk. Rivaille did not look up. You paused for a moment, observing him.
His brow was furrowed in an expression of frustration or mild anger, you weren't sure. His mouth was a taut line, his eyes half lidded as he stared down at the courtyard.
"What are you looking at?" You asked, though you already knew. You wandered over to the window, placing a small peck on Rivaille's cheek before gazing down into the courtyard.

You stumbled up the stairs behind Rivaille, gasping as your feet tripped against the stairs with every step you took. Ahead of you, Rivaille failed to look back, but you could see an angry grimace on his visage.
As you reached the top of the stairs you felt an angry yank on your arm, eliciting a small whimper upon your part. Rivaille looked back at you for a moment, and you swore that his face took on a slight expression of remorse. But you couldn't be sure, because suddenly you were being pulled forward.
Your footsteps hit the old wooden floorboards harshly, two pairs of footsteps echoing down the hallway irregularly.
At last you reached the door that led to the apartment.
Rivaille practically threw the door open, making you flinch. The fury in this man scared you, in all honesty. Rivaille glanced back at you, eyes half lidded, brow furrowed in frustration.
He held the door open for you, motioning you inside with a nod of his head.

It wasn't the type of light that would sear your eyes, blinding the backs of your eyelids and making your head ache. Instead it seemed to be a gentle warmth that enveloped you and surrounded your body.
Far away, you could hear someone calling your name, you could feel your body wracked with pain. But it was a far away sensation, muffled by the light and warmth around you.
It was a soft voice, one that was gentle and soothing like that of a running stream. You wanted to reach out and touch it, grasp it in your hands and hold it close to your chest, keeping it there.
"What are you doing here?"
You wanted to speak, to whisper at least a word, but no words would come to your lips. Instead you could feel your thoughts ring forth, like chimes.
"I can't move. I don't know where I am, and I just want to sleep."
"Well, before you do that, there's something you should see."
ATS: The Expedition: Epilouge"(Name), can you hear me?"ATS: The Expedition: Epilouge by ~Zephyros22
You recognized the voice. It was firm, but you could detect the underlying harshness to it, brittled by years of bloody battles and scarred victories.
The backs of your eyelids burned with the light that seemed to bury itself into your sockets, making your head spin. You tried raising an arm, only to feel a sharp tug in your chest, enough to make you whimper in pain.
A gentle hand pressed you back into the mattress, easing the pain, even if by a bit.
"(Name). Try not to move. You'll re-open your wound."
You bit your lip, trying to keep back a sound of pain. "Wound, Hanji, what are you talking about?"
Hanji's voice was quiet as she spoke. "(Name), you were stabbed, remember? Rivaille tried to kill you. You were dying in his arms when we found you both about to be eaten by that titan."
Your eyes shot open, and before you could stop yourself, you were sitting up, looking wildly around the dimly lit room.
"Riva-!" You stopped as hot white pain gripped
